Poulymenakou Angeliki, Moraiti Asimina, Bisbiki Eleni Nowadays is considered to be a transitional period from information society to knowledge society . Knowledge constitutes a competitive resource for individuals and organizations alike. This fact has increased the necessity for training and, in combination with the new technology opportunities, has led to the wide distribution of eLearning. eLearning refers to the use of Internet technologies for delivering a broad range of solutions that enhance knowledge and performance. It does not simply suggest a new technology for instruction but a new way of thinking about learning. This new training model provides new levels of content flexibility, allowing the interaction between instructors and learners without time and place constraints. Thus, content can be more timely, accurate and reliable. Finally, eLearning supports great flexibility by providing content in a personalized and a when-needed basis. Since learners can control the process and the amount of content, customized training depending on the needs of each learner is provided. Download List of working papers |
